We Love The Moorlands is delighted to announce the inaugural Three Town Trail challenge which brings together the towns of Leek, Cheadle and Biddulph.

What is the Moorlands Three Town Trail?

A route between Leek, Cheadle and Biddulph has been plotted at 39.5 miles and the challenge is to complete the 39.5 miles within either the month of May or June 2022.

Most will walk, many will jog, some will run, and others may cycle. The choice is entirely yours. You could cover 39.5 miles wherever you chose but why not explore the beauty of the area and familiarise yourself with these three Moorlands towns by including a visit to each of them?

Alternatively, if you want to take the challenge at a more leisurely pace over the month and maybe involve the family, then the Trail Information email will include suggested routes and a table with combinations of routes which could be used to make up the 39.5 miles, or for younger children a half route of 20 miles.

INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION

Simply pay £10 to register with no sponsorship required. You will receive an email with the Trail Information and a Three Town Trail t-shirt in the post to wear for the challenge.

SPONSORSHIP REGISTRATION

If you want to help raise additional funds for the Moorlands community, then tick the “Sponsorship Registration” box when applying to register. You will then receive in the post a Welcome Pack which includes a Three Town Trail t-shirt (additional t-shirts can be purchased for £10 each if required) and you will receive a Three Town Trail Completion Certificate and be entered into a raffle to win £100 to spend with acclaimed Staffordshire photographer - James Pedlar when your sponsorship money is received. All we ask is that you commit to raising a minimum of £25.

We Love The Moorlands is a local charitable fund which provides small grants to a wide range of projects based in the district of the Staffordshire Moorlands. In April 2021, the fund was launched and holds two rounds of funding spread throughout the year to award funding to local community organisations.

Information about the Three Town Trail

The Three Town Trail is the title of a fundraising event to raise money for the We Love the Moorlands fund mentioned above. This event is organised by, and the We Love the Moorlands fund is administered by the Community Foundation for Staffordshire which is a registered charity, with a charity number of 1091628. The Charity Commission website contains copies of its financial returns and accounts, as well as details of its trustees and an overview of its work. The Community Foundation is a company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales, with a company registration number of 04220563.
